How to Become an Environmental Steward The term environmentalism is also known as environmental rights, and it is basically defined as a broad or wide social movement, philosophy and ideology which is commonly based on the concerns of environmental protection, as well as the improvement of the environment’s health. Some of the common project ideas that are being practiced by an environmental steward includes riding their bicycle or walking instead of driving motor vehicles to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions, investing in an appropriate technology such as clean power, buying reusable products like reusable bags and glass bottles, avoiding the use of plastic bottles and paper towels, composting and recycling to cut down waste production, and supporting local farmers by buying organic food.
